Say what you will about classic-rock band Boston, its frontman could wail. Sadly, we must report the stilling of that voice. Brad Delp, lead singer on “More than a Feeling,” “Don’t Look Back,” “Peace of Mind” and scads of other mainstream-friendly hits during the too-often creatively corrupt, corporate-fueled 1970s rock scene — bandmates called him the “nicest guy in rock ‘n roll” — passed away March 9 at his New Hampshire home. He was 55. The Boston Globe has the full story.
We loved to hate Brad Delp’s band, but man oh manicotti, could that tenor soar. May he rest in peace.
